AmbulanceEmergency Call OutsSpain uses a single emergency number for the ambulance and fire services. The central number is 112. The most important thing to bear in mind, however, is that you will need to be able to describe where you are. Delays in communicating the address accurately can waste precious time. Most emergency service personnel speak a smattering of English, but the extent of their vocabulary may be small.Javea does have its own hospital, but as far as emergencies for complex accidents are concerned, both Alicante and Denia have more facilities. The ambulances are well kitted out and the paramedics well trained. Spain also has a good network of emergency help administered by the Spanish Red Cross. This can be contacted on 965 791 961.
