Arenal

Shallow Bathing For All Ages

The Arenal has a beautiful sandy beach where the depth of the water allows you to walk nearly fifty metres before its gets too deep to stand. This makes it a perfect beach for families, or these who can't swim.

The beach area is also well equiped with children's play area, volleyball nets, sunbed hire services, bars and restaurants. A good number of shops provide beach wear, toys and lilos, without impinging on the beach itself.

A Great Place to Relax The beach is particularly suited to families with small children and older bathers, because of the water depth. Just outside the shallow zone is a floating jetty with a fun slide and where you can dive into the water safely. Although during the peak month of April the beach can get a bit busy, usually the mid-week scene is one of quiet enjoyment. At weekends it does get more lively, but this is usually during the evenings on the promenade and in the restaurant and market areas.
