Javea
has a good number of chemists who operate a rota of opening hours,
detials of which can be found page in their window displays. Chemists
in Spain tend to have very high qualifications and are able to advise
on simpler health and medicial matters beyond what most British
customers are accustomed to. It is also quite common in Spain to find
chemists that purely offer homeopathic medicines and from the outside
of the shop it is difficult to tell which type you have found, so it is
often wise to ask.
The three primary non-homeopathic
chemists can be found in the centre of the Old Town (just off the
roundabout), behind the Port (just off the pedestrian walkway down to
the promenade) and at the Arenal beach area (just behind the beach
promenade facing the beach road).
