Getting to Javea

It's Really Quite Easy!

Most visitors to Javea arrive by car. This is either their own car, having driven down from from more Northern parts of Europe, or in a rental car they have picked up at the airport. By Car From Alicante Airport

Follow the motorway signs for the A7 going north towards Valencia. You will pass Benidorm and Calpe. Take the Tuelada exit and follow the signs through Gata and to Javea/Xabia.

By Car From Valencia Airport

Follow the signs from the airport to the A7 towards Alicante / Alicant. Exit at Ondara and follow the A332 to Gata. At Gata follow the signs to Javea/Xabia.

By Car From Murcia Airport

Follow the signs from the airport to the A7 motorway towards Alicante and then follow the directions from Alicante. The stretch of motorway around Alicante is toll free, but can become extremely busy. So allow an hour to by-pass Alicante if you are travelling peak periods.

By Train

Trains run from the main stations between Valencia and Alicante and run through Gata de Gorgos. From there you will need to catch a taxi or a bus. There are also trains from Murcia to Alicante.

By Bus

When you arrive at your chosen airport it is best to contact the local information office on what buses are running from Murcia to Alicante and between Alicante and Valencia. There is a bus that runs along the coast from Javea and Alicante, and a less frequent service from Javea to Valencia. If its your first time it can be a bit of a daunting and slow journey.
