Javea Police Station - Welcome to Javea
Conveniently On Hand.
Spain
has different police forces for different jobs, Firstly there is the
local police, then the civil cuard and then a few separate departments
for national and specific duties (e.g. traffic & roads). What you
should always remember, however, is that Spanish police are well armed
and, although they have a good sense of humour and civic pride, they
also have a difficult job. They are very helpful and approachable, but
increasingly they are wary. This is due to the influx of foreigners
that many Spaniards are unhappy about. For this reason, it is wise to
always show them respect. Spanish police will help anyone with 'gusto'
if they believe them to be in genuine need.
