Arenal's Sandy Beach - Welcome to Javea
Walk Fifty Metres Into the Sea and the Water is Still Just Up to Your Chest!
The
beach at the arenal is a great place to go if you have children or just
enjoy paddling and sun bathing. What is delightful is the way you can
walk quite far out and yet the water is not deep. This makes watching
over the children a little less tiring and is a real boon for those who
have some form of disability. Seeing those with impaired
manouverability helped into the water is very common and watching these
enjoy the water can bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye.
The
beach area has volleyball nets and a children's play area. The water in
summer is warm but still refreshing. During winter the water is a bit
nippy, but that doesn't stop people from bathing just as soon as the
sun appears!
If
you look at the above photo you will see what we mean by the depth of
the water. This particular photo was taken on a Saturday during the
peak season and you can see how popular it is. Out of the peak season
of July and August it is much quieter, but still warm enough to enjoy.
