Shopping and Dining in the Old Town
Apart from the indoor market, there are a handful of small shops and cafes. The price for a beer, coffee and sandwich can be up to half as much for the same thing in the beach and port area. Ladies will find a couple of lovely shoe shops and the two small bodegas will help keep their men-folk happy whilst the ladies are browsing. On the main street you can find a few banks to get your currency exchanged and the indoor market includes unbelieveably priced fresh produce. There is also a small supermarket and a chemist. By the side of the post office you can also find a small bookshop that is one of the few places that sells books in the local Valencian dialect, with just a few smatterings of Spanish and English publications.
